Ingredients
8 Slices Texas Toast
1 / 2 Cup Milk or Heavy Cream
4 Large Eggs
1 Teaspoon Vanilla Extract
1 / 2 Teaspoon Ground Cinnamon
2 Tablespoon Sugar
4 Tablespoon butter, melted
Directions
- Cut each slice of texas toast (or bread) into 3 pieces to make sticks
- In a large bowl whisk together the eggs, heavy cream, cinnamon, sugar and vanilla
- Dip each piece of bread in the egg mixture, turning to coat it on all sides until it is fully covered
- Heat a large sauté pan over medium heat
- Cook until golden brown on one side then flip to another side
- Serve hot with maple syrup.
